Sjokoladekake med squash

Ja, eg sa SQUASH. Eg er for lenge sida komen over skrekken for grønnsaker i kakene. Tenk berre på gulrotkake. Nam! Heile poenget med squashen er at kaka blir sunnare, det er ikkje for smaken ein har squash i ei kake. Den skal ein ikkje smake i det heile. Grønsakar erstatter feittet i kaker. SÅ mykje sunnare!
Oppskrifta fann eg her. Eg har fornorska han:


2 egg
2,5 dl sukker
1 ss vaniljeessens (evt vaniljesukker)

Bland godt.

2,5 dl sammalt kveite, fin
1,25 dl kakao
1/4 ts salt
1 ts kanel
1,5 ts bakepulver

Sikt i, og bland med eggeblandinga.

Ca 1 stor squash, finriven

Rør inn. 

Steik ved 180 gradar C i 35-40 minutt. 
Det står at røra passar ein 20x20 cm form, så etter lit hovudrekning fann eg ut at ein 22 cm springform passar fint. 



Chocolate cake with zucchini/squash. YES! I said it! I've long since overcome my fear of vegetables in cakes. Think only of carrot cake, yum! The whole point is to make a healthier cake. You don't put vegetables in your cake for the taste. Vegetables replace the fat, it's SO much healthier this way. 
I found the recipe here. I made it more suited for Norway. We don't have apple sauce, for instance.

2 eggs
2,5 dl  / 1 cup sugar
1 tbs vanilla
65 ml / 1/4 cup apple juice (unsweetened apple sauce)

Mix. 

2,5 dl / 1 cup whole weat flour
1,25 dl / 1/2 cup cokoa powder
1,5 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon

Sift in and mix. 

2,5 dl / 1 cup zucchini (squash)

Grate finely, and mix in. 

Fits a 20 cm x 20 cm square form, In Norway we don't have this, so I calculated that it suits a 22 cm diameter round form. 

Bake at 180 degrees C or 374 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.
